Funny this is Spade was accused of hacking in a showmatch worth no money/standings, provided replays of last 60 games etc still. people like Idra come out and post 'hacked in the past, definitely hacking now' without absolutely no proof and god damn, that train was large.

Gotta be careful with it, very careful.

Back in the day I use to log onto Warcraft 3 every now and then and at times it'd put me up against people on the top of the ladder because of lack of population at the time.

Being someone who logged on every now and then I had no real level and when the top player got defeated the amount of accusations of cheating that can come out of them is astounding.

Sometimes someone who isn't on the scene all the time can be very successful because they may use different strategies that top players might not be prepared for or moved beyond.

Also I find alot of top players are stuck doing builds and rarely adapt even if their strategy isn't working best. I guess this what differenciates the best fromt he very very best.

This problem is too common these days with most if not all currently played games to come degree.

Battlefield 3 for example has already had its fair share. For those of us who dislike cheaters/hackers with a passion and aren't really in a position to do anything about the cheaters/hackers, we use them as training tools to better our own skills.

But in some cases where the hack is so obvious and you can't stop them, it is things like that which cause the constant accusations of being a hack, which happens a lot these days.

Oh boy did I get that. I remember I didnt really try C&C Zero hour Online MP for a while after I got the game (like a few years really) and by this point I had played many, many skirmishes with either friends via LAN or by myself against Hard AI. I won 5 games in a row one night against really high ranked players and in the lobby people said I cheated and to watch out. I was surprised by how badly the "pro" players were playing or maybe I just had killer strats. I haven't encountered anything like that for years.
