Exactly what I thought.

No. Don't even need to look at the fine-print to answer that one.

I can live with everything except the priority queue system that is just ridiculous (the Aussie tax price is annoying as well but at least not a surprise).

I'm going to call it (second?) that its fake. They already got outcry for unique weapon accessories and you can now buy the pre-order skins. However, what is the expansion pack aftermath? Not been announced yet; makes me think its fake even more. The title is even misaligned, thats bollocks.

Im with phx on this one, i think its actually a pretty good deal. their giving you 4 expansions and some perks at a discounted price. If your planning to keep playing and buy all the expansions anyway then this is a pretty good deal. if your not sure you'll be playing 2 years down the road this is a bad deal. Pretty simple. Plenty of companies have done things like this before without the backlash.

The only problem here is the priority queuing. Price is ok, idea is ok, most of the perks are ok, remove the queuing and I imagine everybody will be happy.

Well that's true, I pay for DLC on games I want to play. I like BF3, and I might buy some expansions, but be buggered if I'll pay for Premium on two platforms.

It just seems so expensive and odd, given how much **** they levelled at Elite.

Both sides of this argument are neither right nor wrong, but I do remember the days of Quake, HL, most of the other BF games, where (a) map packs were released for free! and (b) mod tools were produced to keep the community happy.

There is nothing 'extra' to keep the BF3 community pleased other than gameplay and being a 99.5% multiplayer game that a risk EA are willing to take. If they released free maps (or so called "Expansions" What a joke of a name) then that would keep some people pleased, giving an illusion EA aren't greedy suits. Investing their billions into Mod tools for community created weapons, maps, sounds, graphics, etc. Their excuse was that "it was too hard to create one easy enough to use", but they would have create 90% of it during development. What a load of ****! It's just greed.

Thank God for cheap russian keys! I'm have been over BF3 for months now with no desire to return....

/end rant

I like the part when people realised "We can make a small fortune off this, maybe those chaps had the right idea all along!"

When it comes to selling millions upon millions of DLC packs to happy customers, Activision have it sorted :). A few will express their disgust, but the sales certainly outweigh the negative feedback.

Yay games!

Does the $50 buy you all the extra add-on's & early access to them, or is this just paying $50 so you can buy the add-on's two weeks in advance of everyone?

I know for sure I will not be playing BF3 in 2 years time. I don't think it will be 2 years before the next battlefield is out and will replace BF3 and I have long since become bored with BF3 but I sometimes play BF2 and BFBC2 after many, many hours. They have some element that BF3 lacks for me. I don't really like BF3s maps which might be why.

Isn't end game slated for their summer anyways? So really, your getting 3/4 of the dlc before the end of the year, so this one time payment would be fine for that IMO.

Sure, divide the community up more, idiots.

I dunno. If the DLC releases are anything like the game release the poor buggers will really only be guinea pigs for patches a little bit earlier than the rest of us.
Also: @Domitian: that's a pretty big cemetary there.
