I have more faith in this being a good port though.

Yup, horribly bad port. And the layers and layers of DRMish crud also pushed my PC (and me) to its "limits".

they are pulling this 35 gig card so no one bothers to pirate this game. Its obvious

I admit I lol'd but the argument doesn't hold much weight when you consider that Steam users will be downloading that exact same 35gigs.

This is really cool. They're bothering to release better stuff for PC gamers.
Respect.

Still not sure if i'm gonna pre-order or even buy within the first month, though.
I've stopped buying games on day 1 since Battlefield 3.
Plus my steam account is full of games I haven't finished / haven't started, so I can keep entertained!

Anyone have any info regarding any sort of PC exlusive Video Editor like in GTA IV? i naturally assume GTA V will have it due to social club and some of the awesome machinima that came out of it but i haven't heard anything about any sort of editor for MP3, Not giving my hopes up but some awesome stuff could be done in MP3 :)

PC World, I am disappoint.

It's generally down to the fact that the majority of the gaming community don't really give a ****. ;)

More accurately they don't give a **** as long as it isn't something terrible.

Max Payne 3 will push the PC to its limits because Rockstar are goddamn terrible at PC optimization. Remember GTAIV?

Rather than leave people guessing, Rockstar should just be upfront about what DRM is being used and how it's implemented. That way people can decide whether to buy the game or not based on that.

Even now, when it's really close to release, there's been no info from Rockstar about the DRM used in Max Payne 3. If it does use GameShield as was mentioned earlier in the thread then I doubt Rockstar will be forthcoming about info on activation limits and how often they reset (they didn't disclose that info at all for LA Noire).
DRM is like kids. The less you have, the better.

Yeah I noticed that after I posted. Just pinged Rockstar support on Twitter to see if I can get any info on GameShield out of them. Not holding my breath on that one though.

lol you went with that and not this...

On a side note, I honestly dont see this game "pushing the limits" in the way a game is meant too. One thing I hated about GTA4 was how badly optimised it was. I had two gtx 480s at the time and it still would not run things perfect (dont think it supported SLI).

Now ad 35gbs of textures to that mix and seriously... how could it even appear that they would have done this any better? Heck, technically they dont even make PC games considering they are all ports (and the last major release was terrible). I am interested in this game, heck I am still interested in Red Dead Redemption being released on PC (if it ever happens) but I am first going to see what kind of flak this game is gonna receive.

None at all, in fact i've only seen praise for a well optimized port.
