GAME Australia Administrators Discussing Purchase With ''Interested Parties''

At the first creditors meeting to decide the fate of the GAME retail chain, parties have expressed interest in buying the chain. According to the administrators, Kate Warwick and Greg Hall, GAME Australia could continue to operate as a business. "We are currently exploring the possibility of achieving a continuity of the business as a going concern with the company's many landlords, who appear pivotal to any continuation." The interested parties have not been named, and there will be a second creditors meeting held in June.

Haha i really don't care about game, their staff in all the cairns stores have always been rude and unhelpful. I went into game at the smithfield shopping centre a few days ago and there were about 7 customers in the shop and the staff had their backs turned on everybody just playing guitar hero facing the wall. I also noticed they had diablo 3 boxes on the wall, i knew they didn't have it but i asked them anyway, took me 2 attempts to get their attention, i had to yell at them "Hey MATE can i get d3 please, no we don't have it he replied with an attitude. I asked him why he had it on the shelf and both the staff ignored me so i said to them ENJOY THIS GUYS ENJOY IT BECAUSE IT AINT GONNA LAST MUCH LONGER.

THAT got their attention and the immediately stopped the guitar hero and death stared me as i walked out.

I just feel sorry for the people that pre ordered and paid for d3 from game and they can't even get refund, thats just ****, there is not enough room in the market for 2 games stores in every shopping centre, the staff and service at ebgames is much better.
