BioWare on Same-Sex Romances in Mass Effect

I would love same side pvp in wow, pitty warrants etc require so much dm interaction to enforce... and then ic/ooc comes into it when you kill players

EA/Bioware have promoted it a few times on their blogs but most of it they do it indirectly.

Marketing companies basically try make some really vocal group get mad and protest, so they get a bunch of people to promote their product indirectly. This works really well if you can get it to work, Marilyn Manson is a good example.

EA have already been caught out doing this with Dante's inferno, going to the point of fabricating a protest.

It is just something that is tacked on and is out of place. I'd be happy to play to a game with a gay protagonist or sub characters providing it made sense and added to the game in some way. In Mass Effect it was laughable and out of place.

Well considering you have to activly persue fem/fem relationship in bw games.. and fem toons arent randomly hit on by fem npc's...
Therefore...
He isnt playing a male toon getting randomly hit on by male npc's.. he has to be playing a female toon to be getting hit on by male npcs.

And I think that might actually be a good thing the more I consider it. It makes you ponder your actions just that little bit more instead of simply shooting for the most positive thing you can say in every conversation.

That will happen when they start putting in more varied and deeper responses. Maybe if you could change the tone of something you say.

I think romances in general have been iffy in the Mass Effect games. I remember accidentally starting up relations with both Ashley and Jack In ME1/2 respectively just because I was picking the 'nice' options and wanted to get all their backstory. At least with Cortez and Kaidan it was clear where the relationship was going to be 'confirmed' though all the flirting beforehand was annoying.

I can't believe that this has actually worked.

Remember how EA was voted the worst company in America? Remember the Day 1 DLC, and the On-Disc DLC, and the Always-On DRM?

EA bought BioWare out, and turned them from an amazing RPG storytelling machine into another mindless cashcow, and they need to be punished for ruining BioWare. The old BioWare is dead, there's now only EA, and we can't forget how terrible they are. Remember, this CEO is the same one that thinks that Pay-Per-Reload is a good idea.

Please guys, don't forget that EA are just using the same-sex romances as a strawman, to make us forget that they're the worst company around. Nobody buy this garbage, please.
