The Convergence Review, commissioned in March of 2011, has released its final report today (PDF link) and is urging the Federal Government to offer tax breaks and improve funding for the games industry in Australia as a whole. Unfortunately the amount of money it recommends - $2 to $5 million - is still vastly less than the amount recommended to be funneled to film ($22 million), but it's a start.
