Steam has always been flawless for me.
Origin won't even load the store page or load my order history. So obviously they don't want me to buy anything or see what I have bought.
And all Origin tech support is say: Reinstall it. (Which does nothing.)
Conversely... Origin/EA are a bunch of lying thieves.
I bought Battlefield 3 and the Karkland DLC at the same time, after 10's of hours of trying to get Battlefield 3 to work I finally got to play the campaign.
Then when I went to do the multiplayer... It was a no go, 10's of more hours of troubleshooting... 50gb+ of re-downloading it multiple times and it still won't go.
So then I request a refund on just the DLC as I can't use the DLC anyway and... EA won't provide me with one. At first the excuse was: "The tools are down! Ask again later when they are back up."
Then later it was: "We will need to put you through to senior staff to do that!"
Then the next excuse was: "We have no record of your Email address, Purchase, Name on our records to provide a refund". (Funny. Considering my email is my Origin Username.)
So, now I have taken it to the ACCC while still nagging EA's tech support daily, hopefully something comes of it, but be buggered if I'll let EA get away with my money.
Now that EA have screwed me around... My home is now firmly with Valve and Steam. EA can drop off the sides of the Earth for all I care.
They shouldn't be forcing customers to use a program that is buggy and in Beta in my eyes.
