Not intending to be, just very much over how much negativity (using the term in general and not in reference to comments people have made at you in the past) gamers throw at games. Just because the story didn't pick up right at the end of Crysis/Warhead doesn't make it ****, it just makes it different.

For the record that isn't only why I'm not impressed with the story that i've heard. I'm unimpressed because of what i've heard, it sounds dull and generic to me.

An alien virus that's killing humans? Really? That is generic and dull. Crynet? They're really clasping at straws by bringing in the creators of the suits into it at as primary bad guys. I hear they made changes to try and justify some of this stuff but it just screams retcon for the sake of starting over to me and doesn't truly fit.

To be quite frank I could bet a billion bucks that there's gonna be a 'plot twist' that says Crynet created the virus and distributed it for some reason that's how unimpressive everything sounds.

Honestly not even taking into account how it's a complete rewrite of the series the story sounds just simply boring and generic like it's been done before even if it hasn't.
