GameStop stores in California will now be required to have warnings posted, both online and in stores, warning buyers of pre-owned products that further costs may be incurred for DLC. This comes after complaints that game cases would advertise "free DLC" that had already been redeemed by the original owner, requiring the buyer to pay more for a product they felt they already owned. Members of GameStop's rewards program will also be given $15 they might have used on DLC, in a combination of cheque and coupon, depending on their level of membership.
