yeah pretty much. great macro can probably get you into high gold/plat on SEA. sure, you might need some basic idea of what to make, but macro is most important.
when I was playing I sort of went the other way and did more fancy strategies, with okay macro. it worked well up to a point, and then I started to struggle.
thanks for the post alex, analysis like this really helps people get an idea of what's going on. there's so much more to starcraft than just playing.
