Playing through a whole grand campaign as one of the factions will be comparable to Shogun 2, so you would definitely be getting your money's worth, particularly if you replay a campaign as the opposite allegiance or decide to screw everyone and take the whole of Japan for yourself. Having said that, you're free to switch allegiance midway but that negatively impacts your ability to engage in diplomacy. I also forgot to mention the multiplayer, which is compatible with owners of Shogun 2 (I think - can't remember).tacitus42 wrote:As a minor fan of the total war series who hasn't got Shogun 2, do you think I should get this first?
As a standalone expansion it'll only cost $30 compared to full priced shogun 2, would be better value for a good single player campaign.
