I voted that I am the best in the world, in the public competition I opened a few seconds ago and left open for an arbitrarily short period of time.

It is now scientifically proven, that I am empirically the best in the world.

I... uhh... what?

I was with Internode for a long time, customer service is A+ (Once you get connected to an operator, however point me to someone that doesn't have that problem). However I was with ADSL2+ naked earlier in the year, setting me back $49.95 a month for 30gb, I'm with TPG now for $70 and unlimited. Node has the updated plans now, but too far behind the curve.

Im on a reach 60 plan. It sucks the proverbial donkey, but without any other option except change to bigpond (not gonna happen), Im stuck between a rock and a hard place. I imagine I feel just like node feels when Telstra T-Bags hands over their wholesale price. :(

atm i have tpg - still a decade with node at my folks place however - and long drama.. it took tpg 4 weeks to fix my line which was losing sync multiple times everyday. and they never called me back at the times they said they would to do more troubleshooting with me, which is just fkn rude.
in the end they credited the account after i said i was ready to change provider hahaha.

Well after being a loyal Node fan for a long time and having my service with them for almost as long .... I had to bite the bullet and look elsewhere after the recent plan pricing changes. Now don't get me wrong .... I have loved the service that I have received .... it was just that what was now available to me (No Agile ports on my exchange so I was going through an Optus port) wasn't the best on offer.

So I have been with TPG for a little over 2 months now .... and I must be one of the REALLY lucky ones because not only is my internet connection the best I have ever had on this line .... I mean I have never had a more stable connection and the speeds and latencies have improved unbelievably as well .... but TPG has really gone to bat for me with Telstra to fix an earth fault on my voice line (which is happening tomorrow). Plus they have kept me very much "in the loop" at every step.

Anyway .... as I said .... maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones .... but well done to Node and I'll still stay a fanboy regardless!!!! :D

Cheers 8)

My friends TPG got download speeds of up to 2MB/s but my theory is its because no-one else at the exchange had TPG so there is more bandwidth to go around. Considering we both live at roughly the same distance from the exchange well one km less but i did the maths.

Also if you are an internode fanboy and are not with internode then you arent a fanboy. It would like an AMD/ATi fanboy saying AMD is great but you own an Intel CPU and an Nvidia card.

I had really hoped that the italics in my original post would indicate exactly how outrageously hyperbolic and ridiculous that statement was intended to be. I guess not!

I am still waiting for Node to offer ADSL2+ at the deepdene exchange so I can churn back. This prodigal son wants to return but not if he has to go back to ADSL.

No surprise really.Have had node of varying speeds and quotas over more than 5 years and can count the dropouts for 2 minutes tops on one hand with room to spare. Along with wicked low pings that you can get by changing your line profile yourself easily, single digit pings to node servers in my state and no more than 30 to others. Not to mention when you do need help you will get a LOCAL person who knows their stuff 8) :icon14:

I had hoped this was the case... in fact, that was my initial thought (considering the poster)... but something just seemed off >.<

Say what? Last I checked it was 70 a month. And that didn't include uploads.

On topic. I've never had to deal with node's customer service.
I guess that's a good thing.

Went with adam internet here in adelaide a few years ago because their plans were all about $10-$20 cheaper than nodes.

Best customer support ive ever had - I think the longest ive ever waited on the phone for them was 10 minutes, Hearing "You are number...2 in que" every time and actually getting to talk to a local Aussie makes me glad i ditched telstra when i did.
