Internode Voted Best ISP by Kotaku

Unread postby News Portal » 5 Dec 11, 2:58 pm

Here at games.on.net we of course already know that Internode is the best ISP for gamers in Australia, but now it's scientifically proven: gaming blog Kotaku AU has announced the results of their favourite ISP poll, and the winner is Internode!

With 27 percent of the votes, beating out TPG and iiNet who both scored 24 percent, Internode is now empirically the best ISP in Australia. And if you're not on Internode for some strange reason then there's no better time to sign up - with two months free internet on any plan and a zero dollar signup fee it you click this link to sign up through games.on.net, you too can enjoy some of the fastest pings to Australia's best games servers, and our multiple-award-winning customer service. What are you waiting for?

Go node...

I must say, that every time i have had to deal with your customer service, it has been a pleasure and totally pain free.

But then again, i did come from Telstra, haha.

I'm not so impressed with node only because I live in Perth and my node line is connected to an Optus wholesale port or something. I called nodes famous customer service, waiting for over an hour to get anybody. When I did get a real person I complained about my speeds being only 500-600Kbps MAX when I should be getting over a MB a second. The guy informed me there was nothing internode could do about this so I'm seriously considering switching to iinet or whatever.

Would have been more interesting if they had some criteria for judging, rather than just a simple popularity contest.

My experience with Nodes customer support has been less than good.

Unless you go WITH Optus then you will have the same elsewhere, My friend had a similiar issue he had trouble getting anything (phone and net) Non-Optus because they had a monopoly on his exchange.
EDIT: He eventually got Internode but it took a while because of the Optus framework monopoly.

well the customer service is undoubtably the best going.
atm i have tpg - still a decade with node at my folks place however - and long drama.. it took tpg 4 weeks to fix my line which was losing sync multiple times everyday. and they never called me back at the times they said they would to do more troubleshooting with me, which is just fkn rude.
in the end they credited the account after i said i was ready to change provider hahaha.

It took TPG 6 weeks to fix an internet problem my friend had, and most of that was no internet at all, when it was initially fixed at about 4 weeks it was dial up speed.

Well after being a loyal Node fan for a long time and having my service with them for almost as long .... I had to bite the bullet and look elsewhere after the recent plan pricing changes. Now don't get me wrong .... I have loved the service that I have received .... it was just that what was now available to me (No Agile ports on my exchange so I was going through an Optus port) wasn't the best on offer.

So I have been with TPG for a little over 2 months now .... and I must be one of the REALLY lucky ones because not only is my internet connection the best I have ever had on this line .... I mean I have never had a more stable connection and the speeds and latencies have improved unbelievably as well .... but TPG has really gone to bat for me with Telstra to fix an earth fault on my voice line (which is happening tomorrow). Plus they have kept me very much "in the loop" at every step.

Anyway .... as I said .... maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones .... but well done to Node and I'll still stay a fanboy regardless!!!! :D

Cheers 8)

Why not just stay on the plan you were happy with?

I'm still on my old $80 for 200 gig.

TPG might be cheap but any company who asks you to either wave your legal rights or it'll cost you $500 to keep them is dodgy as hell.
