Del Toro the Director Speaks on Game Narratives

And very enthusiastically doth the Pan’s Labyrinth mastermind speaketh, too. During an animated chat with BioShock man Ken Levine on the Irrational Interviews podcast, Guillermo Del Toro – who is currently tasked with aiding the creation of [app=7855]Insane[/app], his debut outing into gamingdom – declared that game narrative has its “own f**cking set of rules!” Then he punched a wall and tore his shirt off. That last part may be an exaggeration.

Del Toro is a mastermind so Insane is definately something to keep an eye out for. Can't wait to see his influences in The Hobbit films.

Given that he has left the production and Peter Jackson is now directing (it was to be a joint venture), there probably won't be any of his influences. :(

in an interview with them both after del toro signed off they said his production work, especially towards creature design and set design would be used because 'it fit so well' i think was jackson's words.
