Heart of the Swarm to Feature Horrifying Zerg Upgrades

Before the awe-struck crowds at Blizzcon 2011, Blizzard Entertainment has demonstrated some of the new features that RTS fans can look forward to when they play through the Zerg campaign in [app=8288]StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm[/app]. For instance, standard Zerglings will be able to evolve little wings so they can fly over terrain features and outflank enemy bunkers, or split into three 'Swarmlings' to overwhelm the opposition.

In other Heart of the Swarm news, Blizzard is reporting that the game will enter closed beta in a matter of months...

paid $90 for sc2 and didn't even get very far into single player, didn't play that many mp matches either. eh.

Yeah I bought SC2, almost finished the campaign and settled in Silver, but just got bored. It felt like if I didn't devote every gaming second to it, I wasn't playing properly. I guess that's testament to the games design though.

that viper sounds like a flying defiler-type unit, and the one that burrows and spawns units sounds a bit like a lurker.

Yeah, there's a lot of units in SC2 that are like other units from BW. I just have an obsession with Lurkers. No doubt they will be in the campaign though!
