Hopefully that doesn't mean that later playthroughs are unbalanced and grindy.

yeah sounds like it hasn't changed in that regard, which is fair enough.

in D2 it got harder and harder to solo acts, and there was a big jump going from normal->NM->hell.

shared stash sounds awesome. hopefully it removes the need for mules altogether.

I don't know about not really having to return to town. in most regards it's good because you're not consistently travelling back and forth, but part of me liked this part of the game.

It's also a beta compatibility type build, not a balance check build.
And it doesn't have a release date, so balance changes will happen. ;)

You'll still need to go back to town to gamble and stock up on potions I imagine.

In D1 and D2 I bought a lot of health and mana potions in town.

I have no particular interesting in Diablo and don't care one way or another about the cartoony-ness, but if those screenshots are indicative of quality then the graphics look severely ****!

How can you complain about the graphics ?

They look superb, theres only so many pixels you can fit on screen, and each one looks lovingly hand crafted to me.

Open your eyes for god's sake.

I'm no WoW/Blizz fanboy, but i know attention to detail when i see it, and D3 oozes with it.

Indeed, Diablo 3's my favourite looking game that's coming out this year. Yes, even over BF3. I lean towards the kind of artwork D3 uses, rather than 'realism'.

Opinions are fun :] I wouldn't say they're "****" but i wouldn't say they "ooze with detail" either...

Detail != Art, if that's what you were implying. See Marius' post.

Not as big a deal in D3 as they've mostly shifted that to the health orbs you pick up from defeated enemies. Potions are more rare and have cooldowns to prevent spamming.

Plus mana regens amazingly fast. I'm not even sure mana potions exist anymore? I couldn't find any!

Probably not. I think it's all skill-based now. I've seen some skills that regen mana when drinking health orbs.
