Hands-On: Saints Row the Third

Unread postby News Portal » 19 Sep 11, 1:27 pm

We wouldn't go so far as to call this article not safe for work, but let's just say if you didn't want to read about the size, simulation and damage capability of the dildo weaponry in [app=7304]Saints Row: The Third[/app] then you should probably skip on past. If you want to know how Nick got on with the... unique arsenal of the game and what else they have planned for the future though, read on!

Mr_Cyberpunk wrote:I think this is going to be my fav game of this year. Tron, Cyberpunks, Judge Dread bikes, Customization, Sandbox, co-op... **** yeah.. that's pretty much everything I could want. Now just throw in a non-linear story and we're good.

We're actually in agreeance, for a change, Mr_Cyberpunk.

This game is just looking better and better. The change from food/drink/drugs which I almost always forgot about, to offhand throwing weapons is much better. The style and content also looks awesome. And jets! Hoverbikes! Dildos!

This game looks pretty damn fun, its so outrageously outrageous in almost every aspect from the weapons to the gameplay. It should be a good breath of fresh air. I just hope that the PC port wont suck.

I never played the first one and while the second had a great level of lunacy I thought it looked like arse.

So far though, SR3 is shaping up to be everything GTA IV could have been and I'm really looking forward to it.

Serious question .. will the issue of slow loading buildings/etc be somewhat addressed if you run the game from a SSD?

Lets just hope they don't ruin the driving like they did in the last one. Everything I drove handled like it weighed 5kg - and theres just no satisfaction in smashing cars up when they don't have any momentum.

Since when did people start getting so critical over my posts? :/ Forums are meant for opinion, it just so happens that topics more often head towards things I'm not completely positive on and that I naturally look more closely at stuff I don't like because I enjoy analyzing it and determining what I would have done differently to make it better.

I could give you an essay on why I love the new LoL champion Riven if you wanted me to, it's just a shame no one's made a thread or news article about her for me to comment on.

I was just taking the piss dude, your posts are fine to me. People who aren't critical aren't able to articulate why they like things past 'just because'.

Whatever, you're not allowed to have opinions that are different to mine.

Jks aside I always prefer reading negative posts, rather than the multitude of agreeances and +1's.

And SR3 is going to be amazing land.

I hope the coop allows you to both buy property/do up safehouses etc... rather than localizing it to one client like in SR2.

I'm fairly certain this is going to be the most fun you can have with a game this year. It looks awesome.
