Virtual-On: Oratorio Tangram (Xbox Live Arcade Review)

An oratorio is an extended musical composition which includes a dramatic text, typically religion-based, performed by solo voices, chorus and orchestra without action, costume, or scenery.

A tangram is an ancient Chinese puzzle, comprised of a square, cut into five triangles, a smaller square and a rhombus, which are then arranged into a variety of other figures.

Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram has nothing to do with music or Chinese puzzles, so it's probably a good thing that Matt Keller wrote us up this review, or we'd all still be hideously confused.

this looks way better than the arcade version during the 1990s. Impressive, may have to get it.

Loved the original arcade to death, wish it was coming to PS3.

Me too.

In the arcades, I use to play the games that would require peripherals that I didn't have access to at home so gun games, some driving games and Virtual On got a lot of attention. My mates and I use to have one of us start the singleplayer campaign. Upon sign of a defeat, the other would join in. Winner would continue with the story until a likely defeat when the other player would join in for a vs battle and so on... thus we'd maximise our play per credit.

I impulse purchased this and haven't played it much. Perhaps I should sit down and give it a thorough try?
