Left 4 Dead: Free for just a bit longer!

If you were stressing that the Left 4 Dead Freaky Free Friday was going to end in half an hour, you can relax. The guys at Valve, in their infinite wisdom, have extended the free trial of the game, for another 17 hours.

This means you can run around and avoid zombies right up until 2:30am Adelaide time (adjust accordingly for your timezone).

The free trial will give you access to not only Left 4 Dead, but also the recently released Survival Pack DLC, complete with the new multiplayer game mode, and two additional Versus campaigns. If you try it out now, there's no obligation to buy the game - but remember, if you do, you'll save 40% off the regular price.

Played it for the first time last night quickly and then a bit this morning. I like it! Visuals are pretty nice and the team factor was good. I've only played with one other real person for a few mins. Everything seems fast paced with quite a lot of action.

Overall pretty good. Not sure if I'll fork out $35 just yet.

The game excels on the cooperative factor, if you play with 3 other human players (any game mode), with mic chat, then the game is insanely fun.

I highly recommend this game be purchased

Tried it, whilst I'm sure it had potential, I don't have enough friends interested in co-op, think I'll stick with TF2.

You should also try playing single player through all campaigns to get the feel of the game and map before you try out Versus or Survival

I gave this a go, I actually really enjoyed it, it would probably be tons better in MP, if I had Broadband i'd definately buy it

too bad about the constant crashing >.>
