Ever wondered just what the Australian gaming public are buying? We've got the latest charts for you that will give you all the details you need to know, for all the major platforms.

Strategy is paying off for the acquaintances of Master Chief, with that particular war taking out the overall top spot. PC gamers are experiencing a war of a different sort, in a different Empire, while PS3 fans are still duking it out against the Helghast. Those who prefer the Wii are fighting the weight war, DS gamers are battling to beat their brains, the PSP has turned to a critical core, and the PS2... well... high school really is a battle zone, isn't it?

I find it entertaining that 5 of the top ten are older Wii games, and it's likely that Halo Wars is only on top because it's a hyped new release product, and they always sell in large quantities in the first few weeks.

I think the fact world of warcraft still makes it into the top ten is a feat to be respected, the only real advertising it has in Australia is word of mouth and when ever its on the news in relation to obesity, addiction, children.

I know the new expansion has alot to do with this, but burning crusade isnt in the top ten...u need it to install/play wrath. odd?

whether u hate it or love it, its the oldest game still claiming such sales.

Wii is the cheapest family fun console/gimmick and the games and name to prove it, hence its sales. Not what I would consider a serious gaming purchase at all.
