Things have gotten rather busy again on the reviewing side of things here at Games On Net, with plenty of games (both good and bad) ready to receive the review treatment. As is usually the case, there are a few games in there that should have been a lot better, but rushed releases or questionable design decisions make them insufferable.

Such things lead to large amounts of agitation, and the need to vent, so this week on The Warp Pipe, we’ll be complaining about annoying things in the industry.

Gotta agree with everything you said there. Particularly with Xbox live, price increases and an increase continues to make me wonder where this money is put. Especially true with the DS what few big titles they release they spend next to no money promoting it. I was hugely excited about Chrono Trigger's rerelease/update but I still haven't been able to find it any retail stores.

AMEN !!!! STOPPPPP!!!! For example, I just bought Dawn of War 2 on CDWOW for less then $50 whereas if I had bought it instore it would have been $110+.

I also agree that MSGFW is rubbish of the worst kind. Whenever I use it, I think "where does all of MS's money go? Because they havn't spent any of it on GFWL" and then I wonder what the HELL would posses a game developer to want to USE IT IN THEIR GAMES and BASE THEIR MULTIPLAYER AROUND IT????? Sure, that'd be the first thing I'd do, "Gee, I think I'll stick some second rate MS product in my game, that can't hurt it, right?".

yea, agree with everything you said but with the XBL thing the first thing I thought of was all the comments that XBL is the best online console service bar none

I hear those comments all the time, but no-one has ever explained to me *how* it is better.

Both provide friends lists, the ability to download content, ways to communicate between players, achievements/trophies. What else is there ?

*shrugs* dunno, I don't use it (obviously) and when I have tbh I wasn't that impressed
