Gears of War 2 (Xbox 360 Review)

We were promised that Gears of War 2 would be bigger, better, "more bad-ass" than the original game. Our earlier hands-on preview of the game from David Wildgoose suggested that it was on the right track - but has it maintained that through to release?

i am not quite sure what to make of this review after playing it myself, maybe it's just me but i thought normally a review would try to not spoil too much on the game's memorable event because you know that's usually best experienced first hand without prior knowledge.

and correct me if i am wrong but isn't Gears of War supposed to be a trilogy? and isn't that precisely why the ending seems abrupt from stand alone game point of view? like you know... because that's NOT the end of gears of war?

Indeed, but yeah, really awesome game, too bad the pc guys can't experience it

Oh and in regards to the vehicle controls, i really didn't see any problem with them, getting the Centaur across the icy lake was pretty easy tbh, obviously you can't go speeding across the ice like you can other terrain....

I love this game sooo much, and yea I don't understand peoples complaints about the controls, the only issue I had was that the cannon should have been independant to movement, I mean ice is suppose to be slippery

and Gears isn't a trilogy, it's being handled from a game by game basis

i'm glad it's not on PC, Gears is a console franchise and has no place being on PC

it's inevitable that GoW2 will be on PC eventually too,

i mean HELLO? this is from EPIC...

you know THAT company that made Unreal, having it not ported to PC is unlikely.

Haha, no worries mate. I honestly hope I'm wrong and you're right. I sincerely wish they'd change their mind and release it on PC. Maybe the lure of the almighty dollar could be enough...
