If you haven't heard about BioShock, you must be living under the sea or something. The game was released last year for Xbox 360 and PC to great acclaim, and is only now - a year later - making the trek to the PlayStation 3.

Matt Williams has played the original, and now he's checked out this new version to find out what's changed, what's the same, and what new bits and pieces 2K Games have introduced into the underwater Rapture.

Bioshock looks far worse on the PS3 because of an odd blur filter over the whole screen.

I compared it on a couple different TVs, but it wasn't as bad as I'd expected. The higher res textures mixed in with lower res textures mainly stood out for now. Slightly better, slightly worse.

There is a little blur, but side by side the differences are minimal. I think the blur was far more prominent in the demo. It really is negligible. If you've never played the game its not going to be a stand out issue. By no means game ruining.

One confession I must make in regards to Bioshock that I didn't touch on in the review for spoiler reasons. I'm still not a fan of the end of the game. it just seems to throw away all the atmosphere the game so brilliantly creates. Feels so inappropriate of the game's nature and almost made me wonder why I didn't jump into a bathysphere and get the hell out of there in the first place to be completely honest...

you're not alone i thought Bioshocks ending was absolutely terrible, just like fallout 3. both awesome games, crap endings.

Bioshock has 2 endings, one which is crap and the other is good which is open to a sequel.

yeah crappy endings.. needed more stuff like the tunnel turning into a water slide that was one of my best game exp's in sooo long was sooo coool!

watched my brother played it, wasn't impressed, even he drifted from it and hasn't finished it yet though that may have been due to HSC

My main complaint was more with the whole fight with Atlas. It was so... traditional... so unoriginal...

Admittedly it took me a while till I actually got round to finishing the game the first time through on 360 and with that I'd heard so much commentary on the game and every detail except the last scenario that I created a far more interesting direction for the story than the game actually took.

Oh and as for the ending movies, there are in fact 3
