For those of you that like looking at pretty graphs and lots of interesting statistics Valve has a nice surprise for you. Stats, and lots of them, for their latest title HL2:Episode Two.

There are stats here for just about everything related to the game. Average completion time, total time played, even average number of deaths per level, complete with funky maps showing exactly where too!

This was an important tool for tweaking the maps previously.

They saw a huge spike in deaths, so they moderated that section...

Haven't played it, but I believe there was section where you waited for an elevator... for what seemed like forever.

is the total time played graph like that because poeple who have played 10 hours have also play 9, 8, 7 etc?

Yeah, it's a cumulative distribution, so it's showing the percentage of people who have played for each duration. ie: 100% of players have played less than or equal to one hour, but only 10% of players have played 10 hours, etc.

interesting to see that the majority of people were playing on medium and that the quickest finishing time was like 2.5hours
