hey sapi what kinda filters do u use to gett that background effect i also noticed it on your sig as well just wondering if u use a tut or u have some way of getting that effect cause i like it...so can u pot up here how to do it and i mite use it on a sig and see how it looks

It's a chaosgfx tut (so i can't give you the link atm ) but basically it's a pixel stretch.

My shortened version (w/o pics)

1) New image; filter > render > clouds
2) New layer; brush in black + white with some cloudlike abstract brushes
3) insert render
3a) selection type > single column marque
3b) select a part of the render that runs the whole way up
3c) ctrl+c; new layer; ctrl+p
3d) ctrl+t; stretch; enter
4) duplicate render; filter > motion blur > 15px; put on bottom
5) ctrl+a; edit>copy merged
6) New layer > paste
7) Filter > blur > gaussian blur > 4px
Layer style > overlay > adjust opacity
9) put in text

no, the chaos gfx one is excellent (i actually have it on disc but i can't upload due to copyright) and i wouldnt' think of competing

Hmm; i like leaving space around teh main sig in transparency so the plane fits in like that

btw, is that a crossbar pattern you've got going over the sig (like on userbars)?

And stuff the code; if someone can't do that themselves than they're in trouble

a quick question like on sprockets second sig...how do u make it so u only have a background in the middle and have the render on the outside as well ive always wanted to know how to do this

Its a pattern on a new layer

create a new document 3x3 - draw 3 black sqaures diagonally across. Edit: Define pattern.

In your sig go edit: Fill: Use patern -> select it.

I make the render slightly larger than the sig which was 420x120 or something, once ive finished with the sig i just expand the Canvas size to reveal the rest of the render (which will be there if you dont flatten the layers). Then I save it as .png so it saves transparency.
