anyone invloved in film?

me and a class mate have gone beyond the required assingment to make a little short film

basically, we are new to 3D and afterFX...and fairly new to film aswell. So heres some shots of the production so far









alot of this is concept, or unfinished, so bare that in mind

...and yes, district 9 ships. But we are still modeling our own stuff atm

I did a fair bit of video production at uni and some freelance work after but since then nothing.

I loved it though. Would really love to get back into it.

I've only ever done very basic stuff for school. Really awesome concept shots there, be sure to check out http://www.videocopilot.net/ if you use After Effects though, some pretty cool stuff there.

It becomes really fun when you start making your own particle effects.

Done use any Video Co-pilot tutorials in your end piece. You can spot them a mile away.

Use elements of each tutorial for added effect but just don't rely on them.

Just my tip anyway.
