Heya all :)

I am currently Studying IT studies at year 12 level. As part of this i have to make a website and make it dynamic with the use of and scripting language we want. Also i am doing year 12 Graphic practical. I though why not incorporate these two and design my own website, rather that use a bland and generic layout. I am planning on learning PHP and Javascript, but if you think there is better alternative, then feel free to let me know :P

Anyway i bought a domain and have set up my own web server and now its live!

Check it out at Pixxel.net.au :)

Anyway, its not much at the moment, but i'm excited, as it is my first live website haha

C&C would be good, or links to any good tutorials, basically anything that would improve my skills/the website.

Thanks for looking, hope you enjoy it :)

The best advice i can offer, depending on your hosting restrictions, is JOOMLA
http://www.joomla.org/

it is a CMS (content management system) and is really easy to use and makes very professional websites.

another option would be wordpress which is a slimmer version of joomla.

For a bit of clarification, JOOMLA is software that you install/upload to your host and once installed you create a theme and then add some info and your done. Joomla is php based and utilises php and javascript and gives you an easy GUI to manage all your content and add a countless amount of widgets and extensions yo your site

http://www.royalhoteltaree.com.au

is a site i recently created with joomla as a job, and it was really easy hardest part was installing joomla. (Not quite finished yet though, the under construction message is because im waiting on some info from the owner of the hotel)

http://community.joomla.org/showcase/
This is a showcase of websites all made in joomla so you can see different designs and features it has.

If your interested in this let me know i will help get it set up for you.

Not sure if you actually know or not, but "necessary" is misspelt in the "BLOG SPOT" section and your PHP array test doesn't work. :P
