Bit of a bump, but I gave LOTRO a crack the other day.

Gave up after 30 minutes. Eh, not a fan of MMORPGs of the "NUMBERS NUMBERS NUMBERS ICONS NUMBERS" variety, and I was bored before I'd even finished the dwarf starting quests. I guess I'm just too used to Bioware or Bethesda quality dialogue and presentation, and not interested enough in NUMBERS.

The Dwarf and Elf starting area is probably the least polished (was the first zone done). Should give Hobbits a go, IMO.

They've actually redone the starting zones since launch but the Human/Hobbit one is still better, yes!

Yeah the hobbit/man starter area is the best one, also the easiest and fastest to get through imo.

The hobbit area is a lot of fun. Running pies and delivering mail So much without having to grind mobs. I think it is my favourite area out of any mmo.
