PAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNN!!....

Couldn't fit the title in :(

So i know I'm late but i started playing Skyrim 2 weeks ago and i **** love it. I've not enjoyed and invested this much time into a game since the original Bioshock.

Love the bow. There's something sickeningly satisfying about pinning someone to a wall while they have no idea you're there.

Though i must admit i was very disappointed with the quality of Windhelm. It's pretty ridiculous in too many places...

Sure, i've come across a few visual artifacts but nothing game breaking or unforgotten 30 seconds later.

Anyhoo, 64 hours played in 13 days. Might get some sleep!

The most badass mace i've seen yet. This was probably one of the only times i'd been genuinely intimidated in this game.

I should really finish it sometime, look like you're more into it than i was when i stopped (though i got sidetracked and ignored the **** out of the main questline). I totally feel you on the bow issue, I promised myself I would do something different to in Oblivion but I just ended up skulking around with a longbow again.

It's so easy to get distracted. Managing content in two houses made it exponentially more time wasting, but still oh so fun :D I've been hanging up all my cool weapons in my Windhelm house. Dressing up the mannequins in armour and jester clothes for the lulz.

Oh, and I just found out last night that you can drag stuff... ffs, just when I thought I couldn't get sucked into this game any more, now I can start dragging bodies into dark corners!

Stabbed a homeless chick in Riften last night for a job. Felt batman. Laughed when I dragged her body into the water though.

Games evil, man. Evil.

I find the most fun way to do it is to wolf out in an empty alley and then go murder your mark, then you train a shitload of guards around and change back in the alley before they get in, time it right and you can walk out whistling as they come screaming into the alley looking for the werewolf hahaha.

So,
Hidden: show
finally killed Alduin last night
^spoiler!

Had the sudden realisation that it's pretty much all over. Sad :(

Of course I can still keep doing side missions and random odd jobs but feels like I'm trying to draw blood from a stone. A stone previously so full of blood that it had drowned the entire universe in blood with it's bloody bloodiness, mind you!

I'm only left with a feeling of disappointment because I'd finished the game before I'd gotten anywhere near maxing out my character. I'm almost at level 51 and have so many upgrades that I could do, it's a shame that it wasn't paced faster so that I could've finished the game maxed out. I guess that's the inherent problem (?) of sandbox gameplay and letting the player decide how and when.

156 hours and finished in 1 month, probably the greatest game I've played. Yes, I think something has finally taken Bioshock off its throne. Now wtf am I going to do on the weekend? :(

DLC soon! \o/

Did you not turn your PC on for a few years before or after you played Bioshock?

I reckon the problem with the pacing is Skyrim is that they don't tie the side stories in well enough, everything is either main story or TOTALLY off track and once you've done the introductory quests for each sideline there's not much to make you want to jump back and forth. There's also not much waiting for you at the end of the chains, I was pretty saddened to find that the boos of the fighters guild still does the same mundane **** jobs as you did when working your way up (less interesting in fact).

I'm planning on starting back into it soon but for some reason the main story didn't really grab me, last time i found myself wandering from hub to hub while trying to avoid the main cities so I wouldnt start another side chain, the need to finish a questline/area is pretty firmly entrenched in me for some reason it seems.

This is as good as a place as any...

Recently, I decided to restart the game with a new character but most importantly I made sure I added the Unofficial Patch as the last 2 times I played there were either missions that would never finish because they were broken or other things similar to that.

What I find strange is both other times after getting out of Helgen at the start with Ralof he has taken me to the local blacksmiths house to 'get the ball rolling' so to speak with what should be done. This time though, I followed him into the mill area where we talked to his sister.

What I want to know is, is that the way it started for everyone else? Going to the Mill or to the blacksmiths? It was a shock and I wasn't sure if it was because the unofficial patch fixed something or not.

---

Also, as for the main story line, I've only just given the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller back to the Greybeards and I am currently level 50

While I know Alduin is going to be a pushover when I eventually get to him, its nice to try and do everything else (without broken quests - the biggest plus of all) before I go any where near the rest of the main story line (although I think I need to advance it a little further as there is just buggar all dragons around at the moment).

Ralof (the Stormcloak) should take you the mill and his sister while the imperial guy knows the blacksmith and his wife.

So it depends on who you follow into the keep (if it's working correctly, which it always has for me).
