Just the whole 'consolised' comment did it for me.

I don't think that's a reliable method of calling something consolised or not. The original Diablo was designed around 2 buttons, and came out on PC.

The consolitis really shows with companions, would be a lot nicer to have one or two context sensitive 'companion' buttons instead of having to engage in dialogue options for everything. So if I want them to stay put for a sec, I can just look at a patch of ground and hit x, or to trade with them you just look at them and hit y, rather than having to hear the same "I am sworn to carry your burdens" line over and over again.

you can hold e on a companion, then hold e over objects for them to interact with it, sneak over, open doors, attack etc, I think they can even loot corpses

I'd like to see darker nights. I want to have to carry a torch at night, but vanilla I feel like I'm a Khajiit. Turning down brightness and adding a post filter sort of works, but I'd like it to just be darker at night like stalker series.

I'll have to try that, I've only ever been able to achieve that through the dialogue option. Companions in general are pretty buggy at the moment, a lot of them don't level properly, and getting them to loot for you is also buggy apparently.

It's just another injector, but when CK comes out there'll be more "true" darker night mods.

Using torches at night is kind of annoying as the source of light is right in front of your eyes thus severely reducing the range at which you can see stuff.

Still super atmospheric though. 8)

I do want a 'real' house. The place in Solitude isn't too bad, but something else with some style. Maybe a tower somewhere you can really call your own without being tied to a city. More than sure this will come.

A decent UI mod would be great.

I will remove "I am sworn to carry your burdens' in a fscking heartbeat. I'M GIVING YOU A **** LEGENDARY BOW, YOU STUPID WOMAN.

I would *love* to see a Hardcore mode, aka Fallout.

Love to see more skills. Level up cooking, create some food with extra benefits if you're high enough level. Hell, incorporate fishing.

Add a simple state check. If the NPC is dead (ie during animation), then they don't say "Is that all you've got?" .. that's just stupid, lazy coding.

Trading between cities; become a merchant.

Alter telepathic (telepathetic?) guards.

There's just so much more that could be done .. not to say Beth haven't done a good job overall, but there's certainly places for more polish .. and a lot of potential waiting out there.

Hilarious to hear after you've already severed their head.

I have literally had a guy impaled on a two-handed sword, whilst being on fire, say it to me. Talk about visions of the Black Knight from Monty Python ..

Is it? I was wondering if it was one of the 'good' bugs left in by Bethesda since it can be hilarious to have some bandit mook talking about turning you into a rug while he's having a dagger shoved into his gut. That being said, a death scream interrupting their taunt would be just as satisfying.

I'm holding off SKyrim for a) price b) awaiting mods.

My main things, being a STALKER fan, is the stupid faux lighting system which gives you gloom instead of dark, and the horrible console UI.

There is already a good interface mod for inventory.
