Just the whole 'consolised' comment did it for me.
I don't think that's a reliable method of calling something consolised or not. The original Diablo was designed around 2 buttons, and came out on PC.

The consolitis really shows with companions, would be a lot nicer to have one or two context sensitive 'companion' buttons instead of having to engage in dialogue options for everything. So if I want them to stay put for a sec, I can just look at a patch of ground and hit x, or to trade with them you just look at them and hit y, rather than having to hear the same "I am sworn to carry your burdens" line over and over again.

Add a simple state check. If the NPC is dead (ie during animation), then they don't say "Is that all you've got?" .. that's just stupid, lazy coding.

Is it? I was wondering if it was one of the 'good' bugs left in by Bethesda since it can be hilarious to have some bandit mook talking about turning you into a rug while he's having a dagger shoved into his gut. That being said, a death scream interrupting their taunt would be just as satisfying.
