Post your Tweaks

There's more than a few floating around .. let's combine them together.

The ones I'm currently testing help add memory.

iMinMemoryPageSize=100000
iMaxMemoryPageSize=5000000
iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=1800000000

Give it a shot.

Also, have heard (and experienced) a small but significant FPS gain from disabling the 360 controller within the in-game settings.

Good topic. People who are experiencing crashes with no result have turned to this. It hasn't worked for everyone however it has worked for myself & my bro. Quoted from the tweaks news post:

brimlad wrote:Not sure if this has been posted, but I found a thread Bethesda that suggest that TESV.exe being a 32bit app can't address enough memory and that someone has an app that can reflag the exe to address up to 4gb on 64bit systems; haven't tried it and if you do backup your original exe but it seems to be working for some.

Ok this one is weird and unsure if it just effects me; my game runs at about 30-40fps untill i alt+tab out and back in again (twice due to the black screen) then it max's out at 60 (solid no variation). Annoyingly once you load a new area you need to do it again.

I've just found a fix to a performance bug i was having. Not sure if it's just related to my PC, but looking at certain objects in some towns (ie. Markarth waterfalls) my FPS was attrocious, far more than usual, and the Y-axis mouse sensitivity was acting all weird.

Dropping the texture setting to Medium fixed this immediately, then put textures back to High and was still running fine. No idea why, maybe switching texture size temporarily cleared out some corrupted cache file, dunno. Just thought i'd share my findings. I'm using a HD5850 card btw.

Haven't tried this but it was posted by a fellow TEA member:

Open Skyrim.ini - located in "\Documents\My Games\Skyrim"

Paste this at the bottom of the file

[MapMenu]
uLockedObjectMapLOD=8
uLockedTerrainLOD=8
fMapWorldMaxHeight=150000.0000
fMapWorldMinHeight=1500.0000
fMapWorldZoomSpeed=1.0000

This improves the map detail and allows you to zoom in and out more. Change the parameter in the last line to alter the zoom increment.

After this change I can see many places of interest that I could not before :D

Cheers Chucky, I've been looking for some detail tweaks to increase detail.
