Best place to pre-order Skyrim

Unread postby Napoletana » 27 Aug 11, 3:02 pm

Hey everyone,

Since myself and many others will be pre-ordering Skyrim, I thought we could post any good deals we find in this post.

So far the best I've found are:
-g2play.net - $41.17 (key only)
https://www.g2play.net/store/The-Elder- ... order.html

-ozgameshop.com - $42.99 (box and map)
http://www.ozgameshop.com/pc-games/the- ... oth-map-pc

Also if you've ever bought anything from the listed websites/stores feeback would be appreciated (delivery time, any previous problems, etc.)

probably wont find it much cheaper than ozgameshop and g2play, those are my usual places to import. ozgameshop are a bit slow with delivery for pre-orders though. pretty decent for games already in stock but i've had to wait 3 weeks for a pre-order before.

i got skyrim from Dick Smith though since i had a voucher to use up. normally $69 from there which is the cheapest i've seen out of the big local retailers, comes with the cloth map too.

Thanks for the headsup about Dick Smith didn't realise they do it fairly cheaply, will definately be getting it from there now that ozgame is out of em and g2play is $55 anyway :\

Dick Smith stuffed up my Skyrim pre-order a couple of weeks ago actually. They never explained why but something went wrong because i had Rage down on the same order and they didn't reserve my copy and they cancelled it on me. So yeah i got my refund & decided to buy Skyrim on Steam instead, using a VPN for the UK store it was about $53.

What vpn did you use ?

Also, when do G2PLAY Send out their keys? I wouldn't want to buy from them and then not be able to preload the game and have to dl it at 150k on the launch day.

Myself and a number of others bought Battlefield 3 from G2play. No problems from my point of view.

i emailed G2play regarding their distribution of steam keys, very fast responses (even if it did take 2 emails to get an answer). They don't send out keys until launch day so i guess i wont be buying from them, i'm not going to say "yaay skyrim!" and then watch it come down at 150k and only be able to play at 1am the next day.

Guess i need to find myself a proxy lol.

Did you need to give a UK address as well or did the VPN do it? I got one I pay each month for so can use that and save $20 in the process haha.

EDIT: Yup worked for me too, very happy savings xD.

Thanks, I was considering buying it off G2play but I was shattered when they raised the price from 40 to 55.

I actually bought Battlefield 3 from a Russian key site cdkeyshere.com and was very pleased, I'm hoping they'll have a similar price for skyrim.

If anyone finds a store selling cheapish steam keys that releases them on purchase (as opposed to on release) feel free to link that shizzle.

I'm a little leery of getting a copy from Ozgameshop now that my brother's copy of BF3 still hasn't shown up from them. Considering it requires Steamworks anyway I think I'll get a refund from them and try a cd key store instead.
