Last week, you greedy gamers guzzled up all of our [app=3365]Star Trek Online[/app] closed beta keys in a matter of mere hours. This made us sad little Spocks, knowing that thousands of you had missed out.

Yeah, STO is not very "quota" friendly when every other day a massive patch comes out for it. I couldn't afford to keep up with the versions

Havent really played much so far, but so far it seems quite good. The character customisation is pretty impressive.

Well I am hoping to get a key this time but who knows, I still have some real concerns about the game but love Star Trek enough that I might overlook them, but not going to buy it without testing for myself.

From what I've seen, it's a decent distraction playing with the beta. Being capped at lvl 16 is a bit frustrating though, I was curious to see if the game changes at all as you level a bit higher.

Yeah I sent an e-mail off about 40mins after it was posted and got twenty thousand and something. I hope that's just continuing from every competition they've had, lol.

Those lucky enough to have been selected for the closed beta were automatically granted open beta access.

Also, preorders everywhere have open beta access.

I can say that the open beta game is vastly more polished than the closed beta game. Which is a welcome improvement.
