mic dropping out with windows 7

hey guys, ive recently reinstalled bf2 on windows 7 (used to play bf2 on xp) since i got rank 50 in bc2, and i find that my mic stops working in game after a few minutes which is a pain when im trying to communicate with squad members and/or commander. and ive noticed that when i have vent running aswell as bf2 my mic stops working in both, mic works fine in vent by itself or with bc2 or moh.

someone in the clan im in suggested to 'run as administrator' thru the start menu but that didnt help either.

when i did install bf2 i didnt do the mic set up thing as i had my speakers hooked up and not my headset so i dont know if that has anything to do with it, but i have talked to people in game for the short period that it actually works.

any ideas/thoughts on how to fix this?

You just told yourself what you did wrong my friend;

Try going into BF2 controls and try to reset your mic.
Otherwise you have to do a Go into your battlefield 2 folder (default is program files/ea games/battlefield 2) and run the exe file called BF2VoiceSetup.exe and set it up that's the best I can do for you.
1.41 and 1.50 patch
And yes run your game as Administer with Windows 7.
This may or may not help.

Same problem

After some investigation Windows 7 tells me that BF2 voice is incompatiable :-/

Right click on the shortcut and find the "compatability" part. Follow instructions on setting it up as XP service pack2 compatability.
