As one can see PR gives a much more realistic and teamwork based alternative to BC2 and vanilla BF2, while still not being as hardcore and clunky as Arma 2.

For those interested there is an Australian server full (64/64) usually every night and a thriving community overseas. There are a ton of gameplay videos on Youtube for those who want a better look.

Could we get the 0.95 files uploaded to internode?

http://www.realitymod.com/downloads.html

also this is a pre-load of sort, you need to have a password to install it which will be released from here: http://realitymod.com/password

BF2 crashes to desktop on start up with win7 :(
Then tried PR and crashes during the splash screen :(
Any ideas?

^Try running it as administrator and delete the Battlefield 2 folder in My Documents (cleans profile settings).

If that doesn't help have a look at other common fixes here: http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr-bf2-support

I tried both those suggestions and nothing has worked yet. BF2 won't run either. Hmm its a new installation but different hardware & OS since I last ran BF2. If I can't find anything that'll help from that link may have to give up :(

Cheers for the link!

Played on the BigD server this arvo, found it quite amusing that for such a hard realism game and community, they all cried at me for sniping 3 or 4 of them in their main, despite not knowing it was a main.

Still seems like a slow and buggy mod, have already ctd'd around 3-4 times and still find it hard to get in a squad for some help without been told your a noob or people leaving to make another squad, despite been polite and asking for advice. But it's always lol, as a lot of the people that call other noobs at PR, were absolute horrible BF2 players.

People in every gaming community generally don't respond well to base rape, they may be just as new to PR as you as well.

Slow relative to BF2, partly because the maps are up to 4x4km. Bugs are inevitable when they release a ton of content at once, they're working on 0.96 already. I haven't had any CTD's or came across any game-stopping bugs myself.

Some people are just pricks, shouldn't judge the mod on their behavior. They could be noobs themselves, 0.95 was only just released friday.

They may have spent more time playing PR than BF2.
