Melbourne Cup

What are you doing for Melbourne Cup? What horses are you backing (if any)? Americain looks favourite to win again but I won't give my tip because I don't know much about the horses. I will try to watch the race but I probably won't be able to plus I don't really care who wins or about horse racing in general. It's just something you have to watch. Correct me if I'm wrong but race starts at 3pm Eastern (2:30 in Adelaide) which sounds earlier than last year which is a bummer. Plus the weather looks alright for tomorrow, a bit cold but mainly fine.

First post on this board for a while...

Unfortunately ill be at work all day tomorrow but might be able to sneak a peak at the telly (fingers crossed).

There are a few to watch out for, and alot to steer clear from.

For me, im steering clear of Americain as hes running a bit heavy @58k and only 1 horse has won with that weight in 35years.

Few to look at, Niwot, Lucas Cranich and Dunaden.

Good luck ;)

For Melbourne Cup I intend to watch no more than one evening news story related to the winning party and I contend that I shall maintain mild interest in said story until such point as it has concluded.
I find it difficult to hold an interest in the Cup when no-one around me is into it and this year nobody seems to have much enthusiasm for it.

I missed the trifecta on 3rd place. Needless to say I was pretty damn pissed off at the call, the trifecta would have payed out $2.5k.
