So great to see Cadel Evans win the Tour De France.

The first Aussie to take the Maillot Jaune down the Champs de Elysee.

Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi!!!

doubt it, but hey, lets!

wasn't sure if he had a chance to pull in the lead from Schleck, but not only did he reign it in, he turned it into a massive lead...

good stuff

Good on ya Cadel. Well deserved. Australia is proud of you. I didn't believe he could pull back almost 1 minute in a time trial, but he pulled back that time and finished over 1 and a half minutes ahead overall. He didn't win the stage (came 2nd) but flogged his main rivals for the yellow jersey. It also gave us something to watch at night for 3 weeks.

He was always going to pull back that lead as Schlek can't time trial to save his life and it's Cadels strong point. Good on him as he's busted his **** for the last few years and got second to Contador(controversially due to doping allegations), and he's now rode the perfect tour(with some gutsy mountain efforts to boot) and won it.

Actually over 42km, a lead of under 1 minute is really not that much at all. Given that Cadel is far superior at time trials than the Schleks he pretty much had it wrapped up at the end of the 19th stage. So glad he won :D
