Fortress Forever Released!

This morning, the guys over at Fortress Forever went and released their brand new client package and dedicated server. The original release date was made for September 17th, however due to the recent announcement of that other beta coming out on that day, they have kindly managed to release it three days early.

If you've never heard of Fortress Forever, well it's a Team Fortress mod for Half-life 2's Source Engine. All you need is a copy of Half-life 2 or any source based game so you can download Source SDK base via Steam.

To celebrate, we've gathered up two gameplay videos for you to watch and have even put up two servers already, for you to start gaming on.

Yeah, it looked like the speed was way fast in that .. was the old TF that fast? sure it wasn't ..

I really don't like the physics with the conc jumping. I like the old momentum method not this do a full 90 degree turns in mid air stuff.

I haven't played this yet, but it looks like it's more QWTF like ... which is good for some, just a huge learning curve for newbs...

Boy you guys are such whingers. Just stfu and dl it. It's a free game, it's unmetered content and it will whet your appetite till TF2 works the bugs out and comes out of beta. :roll:

What makes you think Fortress Forever is immune from bugs and glitches :S

Yeah not bad over all but still got some glitches and bugs. Very clippy on some doorways but thats the source engine for you. Hunted is quite fiddly especially with those bloody use activated blast shield window things and the wierd 2fort place holder. But it's shaping up pretty damn well
