Does that mean we can move leaf blocks now? That will help me immensely for my tree project if I can just shift leaves from elsewhere rather than having to grow a tree then chop it down just so it's leaves stay attached.

yeah, been messing about with leaves on my single player mess about world, leaves when sheared need wood to keep them from despawning, works out at about 3 tiles away from the wood the leaves will remain.
