Massive Dragon Age II Fixes

Unread postby News Portal » 13 Apr 11, 10:17 am

Some of the environments look suspiciously similar and I’m a bit wary of Isabela’s sexual health, but other than that [app=7369]Dragon Age II[/app] is a lot of fun. It’s not without a few technical hitches, though. Nothing on par with [app=5894]Fallout: New Vegas[/app], mind you, but if you’re currently invested in Hawke’s epic jaunt through Kirkwall, don't resist Steam's 1.02 patch and maybe update your AMD or NVIDIA drivers.

Looks like Hawke is missing half of his sword.
What can change the nature of a man?

- Merrill no longer refers to the aftermath of "A New Path" before the plot has been completed.

That was quite confusing, yes.

Spoiler aobut Merril:

On that topic, I still don't get why everyone said Merril's story is tragic. So I had to kill all the elves. Big whoop. It gave Leliana Hawke the chance to further corrupt Merril and get her to move out of that stupid house.

More Merril spoilers:

I think it was tragic because not matter how hard Merril tried, she was doomed. Even if you didn't kill her clan, she was never going to get out unscathed or be as successful as she wanted.

How is being Ladyhawke's lesbian elf lover not successful?

Speaking more seriously though, there's a party conversation where Merril says Hawke is all that matters to her, before the elf-killing event. So I'm just holding her to her words.

It's pretty tragic if you're one of the elves of her tribe :)

I only really noticed the rally and 'who needs rescuing' bugs. Certainly nothing like the first with dead characters delivering invisible lines and members of the party vanishing from the campsite.

If you have an ATI card they released a preview driver( im not sure its them using another term for beta) and it fixes some issues with DA2 and improves performance in many games(apparently) although i dont know how it could improve civ 5 75%(like it claims) when the card they tested it on runs it fine already.

The effects of various follower talents and item properties are now being properly removed and re-applied when loading and saving.

oh, thank fsk. My hawke was crippled by this with the Isabella friend buff which made my attack speed have like a -50% penalty. I've stopped playing until they fixed it.
