Spore evolves - develops 1.03 patch

Everybody always wants more, don't they? Maxis and the crew working on Spore understand this, so their new 1.03 patch doesn't only contain a small handful of bugfixes, it also comes bundled with 24 new exoskeleton limbs for you to use in your creature creation experiments.

It's not quite the 100+ new components soon available in the Creepy & Cute Parts Pack, but for a 100MB download that also fixes a few annoying issues - can't go wrong, really!

No... No they don't. Gameplay is still broken.. clearly they don't understand. We want MOAR gameplay damn it.

24 new limbs.. for free.. So then why charge $20 for a pack with only like 100. Defeats the purpose of them releasing it.

Spore is about divine intervention, not evolution.

I enjoyed spore. Played it for hours when I first got it. It fails on replay value. Sure you can make another creature or change how the buildings look but the gameplay is the same each and every time. More limbs is not going to change this.

This is a lesson oh so many game developers need to learn. Different graphics does not equal different game.

The thing is though they're not trying to market to gamers who want depth, enough people are content with purely cosmetic changes that they'll still rake in the cash like leaves off a money tree.
