Call of Duty: World at War - Pre-emptively Patched to 1.1

If you're one of the masses lining up to get your mitts on Call of Duty: World at War as soon as it launches tomorrow morning, make sure you're also one of the masses lining up to download the 1.1 patch for the game, which came out on Day 1 in the US.

It's a little over 300MB and doesn't really change all that much, but there is the amusing update that will see the game notifying players when a new patch is available. Just think, if that functionality was in the game from the start, we wouldn't need this post!

I'm glad they fixed a lot of stuff.. It seems strange that they released the game without enabeling single, multi, coop modes or dedicated servers. I guess it's one way to assure the game isn't leaked before release date.

It just says mods, not modes. At least we know the devs are still working on the game even though its out tomorrow.

not to bad so far single player is fun especially the japs doing kamakazie runs at ya, very scripted single player havent given anything else a look in though being playing left4dead

Good job to Treyarch on releasing a patch so soon, but, c'mon why did they leave the PC beta so late that they couldn't fix much (at all) and basically released beta to us all.

Oh well at least it's fixed
