AGREED!!!! COD wanabees think its skill to camp known spawns for EZ kills, I spawned, died instantly then spawned again in the same spot and was killed by the same guy who still hadn't taken his finger off the trigger from the first kill - 2 spawn deaths inside 2 seconds. I shut the game down and havn't played it since! Like you I will never buy another COD and will be looking forward to BF3 and Red Orchstra 2 (Heros of Stalingrad)

LOL all games suffer from spawn killing, and every now and then that happens.

Black Ops isn't very balanced, especially with Pistols, but it's still far more playable than MW2 EVER was. The last map pack was less than average in value, but I'll probably get the new one as I still get a good amount of enjoyent out of playing.

Campers are a problem, I just wish the damn mod tools would get released so we can fix this balance...

A simple solution to the spawn issue would be to have maps bigger than 5m square...

Not really relevant but I wanna put my thoughts down for the singleplayer that I recently played at a friends placed.

SPOILERS AHEAD

Basically a polished turd. Overall nothing particularly wrong to a significant extent but nothing particularly right either. Shooting mechanics felt off for most weapons and I ended up only using a select few throughout. The game is also mostly just recycled over and over again too, nothing much we haven't already seen gameplay wise already but I liked the helicopter missions, especially the one when assaulting the boat. Lots and lots of scripting too but not to the extent of MW1 I don't think. Levels are still really tiny. There were also balancing issues where you get owned by sheer numbers and you constantly die from no fault of your own. Moronic AI both ally and enemy to boot. (The amount of times an enemy charges suicidally into our ranks and starts shooting me while my allies ignore him, rage inducing.)

I liked the story though, thought it was really well done. The ultimate revelations of the ship at the end were pretty underwhelming but everything leading up to it was extremely well done. I started to see it coming a bit off cause i'm just awesome that way 8) but I liked how they did things that at first you'd think they were just lazy developers like Reznov being behind you but only Mason jumping off to safety only to discover it was all intentional. Nice touches.

Was it bad that the most fun I had in the entire game was the WW2 level? Oh I just don't really care about the modern setting.
*Insert negative stuff here.*

agree, but if you remember with BF2:MC the map packs were extra $29.95 i think, spec ops and something else.

but i think they might of learnt lesson as it split community a little and the servers were a bit empty on the expansions.

lets hope they keep away from DLC for bf3 for the pc at least :)

If your talking about special forces, that was well worth the $30, added quite alot of new content and new gameplay which was awesome. Lack of players was the only problem. They really should release it for free and tie it into bf2 like the booster packs. That would greatly boost the players in it.

Yeah LOVED the zip lines you could use as spec ops, special forces was great had way more content than some crappy Activision DLC

COD hasn't had a single player campaign since it's original release. Since that went nuts on Multi, they never really put any effort into the single player mode.

Just wish the DLC wasn't just a bunch of maps and had some more interesting weapons rather than re-statted Modern Warfare ones (not MW2 ones at that).
