PC demo is a joke. It's been nerfed way 2 much, wont be buying this sadly.

I could be wrong. However, I think they are referring to the removal of all the gore from the game.

I'm assuming that the censorship will be exactly the same as the preorder demo.

If you think it's bad on PC, spare a thought for the people getting the 360 version. They can't hack the game to make it uncensored.

Any one know if the import versions of L4D2 for Xbox will work in AU on XBL? I am tempted to import this but not sure if XBL have taken messures to ensure you can't play it on AU servers. Won't bother with the pansy version.

I don't know, its been nerfed, but after a while it didn't really matter to me... The sound of a sauce-pan or guitar hitting a zombie was just too good!

Considering i'll get more fun from my $50 than 2hrs at the pub on a friday, i think i'm on a winner... besides, a few quick edits and you have both, at least for the demo.

Downloading it now to see what it's like. Will try the uncensor steps as well.

Even uncensored I still prefer the first one a lot more.

I'd agree if i wasn't the guy who ran around in Doom with the chainsaw all game, and the guy in half life who only uses a crowbar if possible... Im a melee-whore so this wins hands down

Well, just tried both versions. I was quite surprised to find on lowest graphics the speed was WAY faster than L4D1 lowest. On L4D 1 I got fps between 10 and 40 average 22. In this I get between 10 and 90, with average around 35.

I found the low violence lacked a little bit (still fun!) from little things like no corpses (though I found 1 huge pile that didn't seem to get removed before the mini safe zone in 2nd area). And of course no flaming zombies, plus SWAT zombies are just awesome. Though in the end I would prefer to play low violence for 2 reasons:

1. Violence was excessive, even on low graphics quality, I mean for me seeing guts and bones moving around in a corpse was a bit too far. (of course personal opinion)

2. FPS averaged around 22 rather than 35 in low violence. It also never, apart from looking in a corner, got above 35 FPS. When you don't have much FPS to spare, this was the deciding factor.

Actually, when I first played it, I had fog on, but I like no fog in the original so I turned it off in this one and gained like 10-20FPS. That is probably because of my Intel onboard graphics though.

Overall, can't wait to kill some more zombies .

EDIT: Also, for those that haven't tried it, play with fog off =). According to a website somewhere, that is how the dev's wanted L4D to be originally.
