Free FPS Alien Arena 2009: Out Now!

We haven't heard much from the Alien Arena crew since January this year - but they're back now with the latest version of their free sci-fi fragger, unsurprisingly known as Alien Arena 2009!

They released a handful of new screenshots last week, and a first-look video - but now's your chance to take on the alien invasion face to face, armed to the teeth with vaporisers, beamguns and disruptors. We've got the shiny new version of the game available now for both Windows and Linux/Unix - grab a copy now and read up to find out what's new!

Yes Node has a server. The installer also tries to install a toolbar for Internet Explorer - which dip-sh*t decided that was a good idea.

Post has been updated to reflect the fact that yes, we do have an Alien Arena 2009 server, so you can play the game right now, without having to battle with American ping

I can't say this is worth the download. It has a horrible UI, very dated graphics and limited gameplay.

If you do download it, make sure you think of it as a beta test when you're playing otherwise you'll be very disappointed.
