Capcom starts off 2009 with a bang!

The first half of 2009 looks like being a big one for Capcom, who have confirmed that they're aiming to release seven new titles within that timeframe. The lineup covers a wide variety of genres, platforms and titles, including both new ideas and well-loved favourites.

We're looking at Flock!, Street Fighter IV, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, Neopets Puzzle Adventure, Resident Evil 5, MotoGP and Bionic Commando, all within six months (actually, it's more like the first three months...). Better start saving your pennies!

Not that much in that line up for me, Street Fighter is interesting but fighting games is one thing that is always more fun on consoles and since I have neither xbox360 or a ps3 I'll probably give it a pass. However I have long been waiting for a fun shooter for Wii and so if Dead Rising can bring something really good to the table it might be the Capcom game for me this year.

I would say that SF is only fun if you have the right peripherals... that being a proper arcade joystick like the ones from Hori. Gamepads were not designed for the street fighter experience.

For the PC gamer, it's actually very feasible getting an "Xbox or PS3" to USB converter. My brother has got a PS2 Hori stick connected up to his PC which works flawlessly. I'm hoping that the PC version of SF IV turns out to be as good as the arcade... saves my brother buying a console.
