F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin not allowed in Australia

We all expected F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin to be shocking - as the sequel to one of the more terrifying games of the past five years it had a lot to live up to. That said, we didn't really expect the shock to come from the Australian Classification Board, which has considered the game to be unsuitable for Australian gamers, refusing it classification in this country.

While we have a copy of the RC statement, we're currently waiting to hear back from the Board about the details behind their decisions - as well as comments from publishers Warner Bros about what their plans are now. Did Alma get a little too bloodthirsty for Australian audiences?

Well that's another game I won't be buying until an uncensored version comes to Australia (hey....I'm smart for not wanting to take chances with Customs).

I still say that Gears of War 2 should've been banned under our current guidelines. Played through the campaign and it was quite gory (especially when you're inside the giant worm).

I imported the American version of Silent Hill Homecoming just fine (for PS3)

You should be more worried about the exchange rate.

The reason I say that is because we need it to make front page so people become aware of what is going on. Making a post in the forums is one thing, but bringing it to the attention of everyone is a completely different story and may just make a few people take notice of it

Yeah well I don't like dealing directly with exchange rates either. That's why I don't buy games off Steam (or anywhere else overseas for that matter).

Also, while the risk is there, I'm not taking any chances. I'm saving up for a new computer at the moment so I can't really afford a fine.
