The folks at Nadeo are well known for their emphasis on fun and giving something away for free, as is the case with the TrackMania Nations Forever model. We've got something special for you today - which sees Nadeo move away from dry land and out into the seas, with their newest free to play and download game - Virtual Skipper Online.

Granting players the ability to compete in 'some of the most prestigious global sailing events', Virtual Skipper Online sees a similar model used by the Trackmania franchise, with simulated yacht racing at hand, complete with a map editor, and a number of different game modes. We've got the client on the mirror, along with some more information regarding the game.

I would say he means non MMO games, as in just multiplayer, a la CS/DoD/CoD.

Nah no advertising, the crew on your boats wear Nadeo shirts but thats about it.

On your sails you choose your countries flag, tried a few games last night where I was the only one flying the Aussie flag.

Not a bad game if your into this sort of thing. Nice relaxing break from shooting things.

I'm pretty sure there's a Korean MMO with a lot more subscribers than WoW has.

vsk5 is a great game, I've been playing the vsk series for a few years now and over the last couple of months the 32AC-> vsk5 patch conversion of vsk5 and had some great online races. you can usually find a few local games running each night and even o/s games run pretty smoothly.

look forward to downloading this new online version of vsk5 and giving it a try.

You can create skins by using a program like Photoshop ect.. and put them into the game file.
Some examples are of boats that are going to be in this years Sydney to Hobart race

You can also have custom made models in this game including the RC44, Volvo 70, Imoca, AC90, TP52, Swan45, Moth, Maxi Cat, Orma, 420, Open 6.50, Platu 25, 49er, Groupama 3, Libera A, Star a few more and the upcoming Tornado and 18 foot skiff.

Great game and I would recommend it to anyone.
