This is EvE. Every, single, day. You will always learn something new.
I headbutted two titans and completely destroyed them both during conquest mode.

I thought I might actually contribute something useful, as it doesn't appear to be posted here. ;)

EveMon - Great tool for planning skill training, looking at ship and item statistics.

Also may as well just list Battleclinic. A general all-purpose Eve Online site with lots of helpful information.

EVEMon cut something ridiculous like 3 days off my frigate V training.. it's an excellent tool that I suggest everyone use (even new players).

Once you've created your skillplan just make sure to click the blue link at the bottom of the EVE window title 'suggested skills'... it's these ones that reduce the overall time.

Also, buy +3 implants (costs around 8-9 million) for Perception (and maybe willpower or intelligence).. again, cuts even more days off training time.

A useful tool for deciding whether you should buy that shiny new ship.

Yes, however you can get to a point where the money you make in game can easily cover the sub fees. Not sure if you can do that in WoW...

There are PLEX in game which give you 30 days subscription. These range from around either 300-400isk or like ~$25RL monies

It is agaisnt the EULA... however I generally buy gamecards for ~2k gold. I don't even farm, I just generally tend to have easily that much spare by the time I need a new card >.<

In eve there is an approved process for GTC to ISK (do it outside of this and expect the CCP Ban stick).

* You buy a GTC from an approved seller - a 60day GTC sells for usually US$35
* You can either sell that GTC code on the Timecode Bazaar forum on Eve-Online
* Someone buys the code and you transfer it to them for ISK using an official CCP
tool on their webpage
OR
* Convert the code into 2x30 day PLEXS and put them on the market in game... Once the plex has been made (hit escape, press the convert ETC button) you can place them on the market to sell but you can't move them so only do this in a trade (or perhaps an mission hub, like dodixie might make you more than Jita).
* Make ISK

A 30 day plex currently runs at 330mil but this is variable so do your research, pick ya time.

Picking todays Exchange rate: A$43.75 makes you roughly 660mil ISK

So the exchange is roughly 15 million ISK for each dollar...

=====================================================================

Going the other way:

* You work your arse off mining, ratting, missioning, scamming macheriels of
n00bs (sorry, couldn't resist :P ), moon mining, trading, hauling, reactions,
research, etc...
* You sacrifice 330 odd million for a plex. Buy that plex from a sell order
OR
* If you are not in a hurray, you can put a buy order in for under 330 mil at a
trade hub and find someone who wants to sell aplex in a hurray on the cheap...

[Note some people buy and sell plexes like any other market commodity in eve - so do your homework and watch for scammers, market manipulation and the like)

* Apply the plex and play free for 30 days

==================================================================================

So if you have a lot of time and an ability to grind or make outragous amounts of cash then you can play Eve for free if you wish... This is reliant on the number of time poor, cash rich players equalling the time rich, cash poor players. When that balance gets a bit out, the price can fluctuate...

CCP still makes the same cash off the player base, with just an ability for an official way to transfer in attempt to shut out the illegal 'gold farmers'...

Rumour has it there is an Russian Aluminium Magnate who plays in the Red Overlord Alliance who funds quite a bit of Strategic Assets (like multiple Titans) with legitimate GTC's (after being caught using non-ligit methods) and has 'injected' many thousands of dollars into virtual Eve ISK...
