I don't know how I feel about this one...as a child of the 80's/90's, I feel this movie is kinda unnecessary. As long as they have the three-boob lady...

I'm sort of the same, remaking Total Recall is right up there with remaking Terminator 2, some things are meant to be sacred .

Remaking SpiderMan or Fantastic Four is stupid, just for greed alone.

Too soon I agree, but I read somewhere that it has more to do with Fox wanting to retain the rights to those characters, and the only way it can do that is to put them in movies. Expect to see Daredevil getting a reboot as well...

maybe its less a remaking of a 90's movie (which i still love) and perhaps instead its going back to the original story by philip k dick and making it truer to that?

Pretty much Sony needs to keep making Spiderman movies or they lose the rights hence why they're rebooting since the original movie series is dead. I'd rather they lose the rights though so that we can have Spidey in Avengers 2!

yeah good one... the same martian looking surface that gets all of 15-30 minutes of screen time on the original. big deal.

The martian surface may have only gotten a little bit of play time but half the movie was set on Mars.

Well you never know, it could still be on Mars, just really far in the future cause the land had been terraformed and all that.

I'm reserving my judgement until I see it, although I am a big fan of the original maybe they'll make enough changes for it to be a worthy remake.. but I'm not holding my breath
